Elaine (Lainie) Person

Elaine Person earned degrees in Speech and Theater Arts and Television Production and Operations which gave her the foundation to write shows and commercials and perform voice-overs. She also writes Person-alized poems and stories for all occasions which can be found in many publications, including her spoof of King Arthur in a Century of College Humor published by Random House. In July 2026, she won the 2026 National BlackBerry Peach Haiku Slam. She teaches writing workshops across genres at Crealdé School of Art, SOBO Gallery, various other locations, and on Zoom. Fun fact: Allen Ginsberg is from her hometown of Paterson, New Jersey. There must be something in Paterson’s water.
