Rachael Tillman

Rachael Tillman (nee Collins) is a native of the Maryland/DC area who has resided in Florida since 2013 and prior to that, in Prague, Czech Republic from 2007 to December 2013.
Rachael studied Theatre and Communications with a Concentration in Media Studies at Goucher College in Towson, MD, and received her MA in Theatre in Education from the University of Exeter in the U.K.
She has participated in all aspects of theatre production from staring roles to supporting the light booth to backstage to set construction, even writing reviews for Fringe festivals.
Not long after arriving in Florida, Rachael became active in the local poetry slam/open mic scene and began work with a local non-profit, Write to Be Scene. Rachael can also be heard dissecting literature on The Drunken Odyssey podcast (www.drunkenodyssey.com) and occasionally being one of the readers for local open mic, Loose Lips.
One day she will eventually turn twenty years' worth of poetry into a chapbook and finish the three short stories sitting on her flash drive.
Rachael works in the administrative department for the Environmental Protection Department and tries to make it to various readings in and around the Orlando area. She resides in Altamonte Springs with her husband, Josh, and their two cats, Minerva and Gracie.
